Disclaimer: Yes i'm a homer, i love my Vikings win or lose.

NFC North:

Minnesota

They'll win the division, whether Favre is QB then or not is hard to say, he's old and getting hit way too much so far. But he is the best option compared to what they have on the bench. But with AD, Percy Harvin and that defense they should be ok.

Chicago

The defense is getting banged up but i still think they'll finish second in the division. Cutler to me is a lot like Favre in he's still getting use to his receivers. If the defense can hold together without Urlacher they'll be pretty tough.

Green Bay

They'll be better than last year and depending on how well they keep adjusting the 3-4, they could be in the playoffs. It's weird having Favre in purple but i think the Pack made the right choice in sticking with Rodgers. Next Monday nite should be fun to watch. ;)

Detroit

I think they could win 3 or 4 games this year. Their future right now depends a lot on Stafford by staying healthy and being able to take the struggles and not lose his want to to win. But i give em credit, even last year, they played hard.

Carolina
they are alot better team than 0-3 but it is what it is

Tampa Bay

Yeah i think Atlanta will win it unless the Saints figure out the defense. The problem with having the type offense the Saints do is it kills your defense, like Minnesota in '98.

I live 50 miles from Charlotte and i'm loving it :laughs: My brother has done ask me to go to the Minnesota game this year. I sure hope they don't figure out how to stop the run by then.

Oh and damn i wish Minnesota had Matt Ryan as QB!!!! Flacco is doing good too but i like Ryan more.

NFC East

NY Giants

They are solid all around, good chance they'll be in the SuperBowl if they can stay healthy.

Philidelphia

I thought they'd drop without McNabb but Kolb is playing good and i think the defense will get better. Not sure they can win the division.

Dallas

Depends on which team shows up. This is one team i just don't like but they are/canbe good but sometimes they just self destruct.

Washington

They can't score

NFC West

San Francisco

I had them finishing second but after the Minnesota game these guys can play. Gore being out might hurt them too much but Coffee is a strong runner if they can get him to not hit the hole straight up. I think they found something with the TE and that defense played good til they went to the prevent. I've never liked the prevent defense.

Arizona

Not because i think they are that good but the rest of the division is limping. Whatever it was they had going last year it doens't seem to be clicking just yet.

Seattle

Before the season i thought they had a chance to win the division but injuries are killing em.

St. Louis

This year's Detroit

I agree pretty much entirely with you Vox on those.
I think the Saints may be better than Atlanta, enough to win the division. I think their defense will cost them a chance at the Superbowl though.

Minn. should take their division, and right now i think they may make the NFC champ. game, if not the superbowl

The NFC east is still strong with their 3 teams as usual the last few years. Dallas isnt as good this year, Philly is interesting, cant really consider the win last week too great, look at who they played.

But with McNabb back... and he FINALLY has WR to throw to (DeShawn Jackson is becoming one of the best WR in the game (he has a little to go still). But need to be healthy... their star QB and their star RB didnt play last game.

As for the NFC West.. there really is just one team. San Francisco is looking so much better this year than last year, and if they have a healthy Gore in 4 weeks, they are the easy pick for their division.

I live in Phoenix. (i'm from Philly though and Eagles are my team), and last year was a lot of fun going to and almost stealing away the Superbowl. It was exciting, but it was kinda a fluke where everyone played together so well and so much energy as the underdog, that it worked... once.

Their defense is pretty crappy. Their offense is shaky now, but should recover.. but i doubt enough to repeat last year.

I never liked NFL really. That can be because I'm European and we have a tendency to prefer (not-American) football, or because I don't understand the game. Probably a bit of both.

What especially puzzles me is that they're standing still at least 50% of the time.

Please do tell me what I'm missing... what I should be focusing on. Cuz I do like watching sports. :)

That does involve standing still a lot, does it not? ;)

You sure? I won tickets to an American Football match a year or two ago. What happened was that some bloke kicked or threw the ball to another bloke, who'd run for the hills, get pounced by the opponents, and then they stopped, huddled in groups for some time and repeated the same stuff.

*nods*

The running usually took up a lot less time than the huddling.

Amsterdam Admirals versus some German team.

It was like watching two teams of armoured gay dudes grab each other's arses at every opportunity the ref gave them. :P
