An' for Thanksgiving dates, maybe it's both? - yanno rumor has it dems american indians and pilgrims feasted an' hung out for a good week .. maybe it was a really long week? And that bein said, doesn't Canadian Thanksgiving have more of a harvest-time history to it?, whereas US Thanksgiving is (however loosely) based on Pilgrim settlers and their eventual friendship with Native Americans. So it's kin'a two different holidays, but both good enough reasons for holiday-pay at work and/or a long weekend with relatives who ya may-or-may-not see at Christmas! An'a Merry Hanukkah as well!

Yeah, I was actually super surprised when I logged on to build and the war functions were back up. I was all "eeeeeeeee!" and scrambling to fix the banner, update all the scouts, send out guild communications, etc etc.

That shouldn't have happened until midnight GMT at the end of Sunday, did war come back up at midnight GMT at the end of Saturday (i.e about 7pm EST/4pm PST on Saturday)??

Yes war came back up at 7pm EST on Saturday. The holiday started on Tuesday at 7pm EST.

Sorry Carlos, when I saw that war was back up, I hit both you and Tara. I instructed my guild to do the same. Just another reason I asked my guild to remain fortified during the break.

It's because we rolled into December and the Thanksgiving code sits in a 'November' block

The same holiday code has been in place for 8 years or so, and I don't recall it ever ending early before. Need to tweak the code to take the slim chance of the Thanksgiving holiday rolling into December in the future.

I also will look into tweaking US holidays to occur based on US time i.e. start at 00:00 est and end at 00:00 pst
