Tara, you can interpret this statement however you want, but in this I was consistent: We started this war. It was not my place to unilaterally end it. I communicated my wish to end this war. It was TRR's choice to agree to peace or ask for concessions: I certainly wasn't going to OFFER any! And I'm confused about where you think G has NIR: TRR was in a place where they could not even damage NIR. G certainly has that ability now. and the "peace or be farmed" was not terms, it was a simple fact. Sorry you missed that.

I'll be honest, I re-read that and it came out fairly vulgar. In our defense, the Large Weapons was a direct quote from an earlier thread referencing NIR's large kingdoms as such. Thank Jokingjoe for that title. We can thank Fireslash for this one.

About wars that drag on, it's barely been 48hrs since you started, right?
It's 50hrs for full turns, and if G or SUCKS had just taken a build or fort-up cycle the day before, you caught them with less than full turns which they have already used for an initial retal, so I don't see where it's dragging on quite yet.

Okays well see, when 1 GM says to the others, "peace now or be farmed," that doesn't sound as though you mean to leave room for negotiations. It's peace, or not. Point is, you're contradicting your character somehow there, m.o. of course.

We present a fun and stupid thread, never once saying our victory was assured.
We present fair numbers showing we had only gained a bit of acreage from the whole ordeal.

I don't take exception to any of this, I just think your talk is bullshit. See, it was the excuse, not what happened that pissed me and mine off. You could have said anything, but you had to lie and disrespect my people. That just isn't right. That isn't diplomatic.

Thanks to restore, we will just keep coming back and keep sorcing you. We won't stop. It could have been avoided by acting more like a player of a wargame than a douchebag looking for a reason to hit my kingdom. Aero, we play a wargame, hitting my kingdom is part of the fun. Try just denying my peace next time without the other bullshit that no one here has been able to cooberate.

I'm sorry if you felt The Red Ranks got a piss poor deal in peace with NIR earlier in the age. If you feel you were due more rights, than your GM should have asked for more. You are wrong to assume you had no choice. Noone on your side even tried to ask.

Here is the reality. We are indeed ruthless in war. But I gave you a way out. Yes, it was a slap in your face, but you had to know what was coming. And it gave your people a way out.
Tara had interesting comments about the whole notion of demanding a land sacrifice for peace, and truly I do not usually demand such things for peace. But the temperament of this war has been arrogant and disrespectful toward my guild. It is, of course, all in good fun. But there is a price to be paid for such whimsical behavior. Further, you track your war record on the web page; this is not lost on me. I could have accepted a draw, with your accepting my terms for peace. But by declaring peace before you had met my sole requirement, you insulted my generous offer to spare you and your guild. Now you will suffer a true defeat.
Let me be clear: I knew your advantage would be turned if you did not accept peace. This was part of my arrogance. If I thought we were lost I would have jumped at the chance for peace.
At this point, my conditions for peace, and more, have been met. And Needlessly so. You warriors have fought bravely with great honor and inflicted far more damage than we could reciprocate. I will be far more respectful with your conditions for peace, when you submit them to me.

Clearly I have made some unwarranted assumptions and set unrealistic expectations. I see now 24 hours was probably too short by at least as much to be diplomatic. I see I did not offer you room to answer. I set you up to fail. I ask your personal forgiveness Lord Reylan for my accusation of cowardice. I would also like to apologize for my condescending attitude since Friday. I have no excuse for such behavior. I only hope that we can move past this and move forward bring the fun back where my anger has dampened it out.

Well that was a fun war thread to read. Just in case you do go into peace and TRR decide to strike NIR, I offer the blue man group my alliances. LKA is only half active and i make up half of that half so it would be a 12 versus 12. If CORE vs NIR then im sure TRR would love that since you guys would bring both of ya down. I will do anything to see that Angelique wins. I understand a Barnie name calling our goddess since they follow that brute anyway. What I don't understand is Letites having a silent war where they hit us when they have double our networth when they are supposed to be the balanced ones. I rather worship a woman than a man. Areo, the rest of above about me thinking we should've gotten more in our peace arrangement, that's not where I was tryin to come from. I was comparing your feeling of being disrespected by thread titles and the rest, say you don't want to push people away from the game but at that time, with us, you'd said NIR would hit till our members quit or we got peace. I guess Carlos figured you meant what you said at the time & didn't want to be a farm for nothing. Just comparing, not complaining, that war's over an' done with.
