heres my problem. i'm a contractor for microsoft now, more specifically i'm a vendor. my job is to monitor alert streams created by monitoring servers around the world. microsoft hosts several very big name corporation's cloud applications, sharepoint, lync, exchange etc... i basically sit at a desk and make sure the alerts that are firing are legit and not caused by network flap or maintenance or some other oddity. if it is legit i try to fix it and if i cant i escalate to a higher tier and let them deal with it. we are given links for troubleshooting guides and various instructions of what to look for and what tests to run to validate issues and such but, according to my boss, the higher ups want our credentials to look better on paper for their bosses. so now i need to get certified. theyve kind of sprung this on us and its proving to be kind of a pain in the ass. i need to pass the 70-664 and 70-665 certs. soon.
i've gotten several books and even gone so far as to get visual certexam and 4 practice tests for each of the courses. my question is, is there anything else one of you may know about that i could take advantage of? any tips/suggestions are welcome. at this point i need all the help i can get. some of this shit is mind boggling.
