Regarding the blue orb, it was the icon he used for how long as "Torkano" ?

Not everybody RPd with him, but people like me spent a lot of time BSing with him over ICQ and in game. Torkano and I created "ENT" and split up all the alts. Believe he helped me with the underpants gnomes alts as well. We spent countless hours together in War chats and dorking around on the forums together.

All I am saying, is that you could throw in the "Blue Ball' somewhere into the design as an ode to his non RPing side.

It could be part of the hilt of his sword. A ring on his finger. A design on a piece of clothing. An ornamental piece on a helmet or something.

His sword can sense evil? maybe there could be a smooth as glass, round, blue gem/ball in the hilt of his sword that glows faintly when it is sensing evil?

It also has a fire resistance? What is an element that counters fire? Water? Water is blue... His sword could have a blue sheen to it that is both reminiscent of the night as well as water. The blue ball embedded in the hilt would fit into that design concept.

asoc,

The 'roleplay' descriptions have been based on Maxim rather than Guilds or MoPri or LGS or Valid etc. That's simply because we still have a central location for 'most' of the roleplay that went on.

This thread is all about making a collective choice about what the Tork miniature should be like. All suggestions will be listened to and taken aboard.

The actual miniature will be made out of metal and sold unpainted, so the 'blue' would get added later by the person who paints the miniature.

However, I will ensure that there is an orb somewhere that can be painted blue.

I thought about wearing torks icon but decided against it because it I thought was to apart of who tork was to me and I didn't want to rob that away from him.

Dan Kelly has drawn up a concept pic for Torkano.

What do we think?

Changes needed?

Things to be added?

[edit]

Question about what we think Tork meant when describing "His finger gaunlets were gold and encrusted with jewels."

Do we think he meant gauntlets that leave the fingers uncovered, as pictured, which would be a little more useful for a horseman.

Or do we think he meant full finger coverage?

I'm sorry Kaz. Since I don't play but still love those remaining to death, I rarely scroll down below the technical forum. Didn't see it till today.

I like the picture. Maybe the hair could be a touch stringy and matted, as if wet and he has been on the road subversively for quite a while.

Googled the gauntlets. Seems that the term refers to gauntlets with articulated fingers, as opposed to just covering the wrist and back of the hand (braces?) in an hour glass shape.

You guys have the show Knights of Mayhem on that side of the pond? Fools are full on, full contact jousting, and trying to get it recognized as a legitimate sport. Crazy, but cool. I think it is a new show here.

Quick update. First drafts of our horses are done, and one has been sent to the sculptor.

Will update you as soon as I have any info or pics of the Tork miniature
