Laugh now question boys. But go ahead and ask or answer another riddle. You'll see. Cuz I'll do it! I really will.

You are standing in the middle of a circle room with two doors leading out of the room.

There is a guard in front of each door. A sign tells you one guard always tells the truth and the other guard always lies and that one door leads to wealth and riches while the other door leads to your death. It also tells you you may ask only one question to one guard.

You do not know which guard is standing in front of which door. What do you do?

Ask one what the oter would say and do the opposite. If you ask the liar, he will lie about what the truth telling one will say and send you to your death. Aks the truthful on e and he will say that the liar will send you to the death door. In either case doing the opposite will lead you to the right door.

Actually, Lillim, that IS the correct answer. The riddle is usually told with two robots.

Here i found a copy on this page:

Nope, wrong answer. That's the traditional answer.

The correct answer is that you just have to wing it, the sign with the instructions is a lie. You don't know what's behind either door and both guards are free to lie or be honest as they choose.

And the moral of the story is don't believe everything you read.

Think outside the box, eh?

damn right, the riddles give instructions and clues, but they never explain who's giving these clues or how honest they are. gotta check your sources for authenticity and honesty.

Who'd a thought one could use invoking magik to settle an arguement?
