The Television Thread

Post by Maverick » Tue Sep 29, 2009 5:16 pm

So what shows are people watching this year?

My week goes:

Monday: House, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory

Tuesday: Hells Kitchen

Weds: Glee (Not sure its a keeper yet), Top Chef (first season watching its okay but not spectacular), Modern Family (Maybe), New Adventures of Old Christine (Maybe)

Thursday: Bones, Survivor, CSI, Fringe, Flashback (Maybe), Community (Maybe)

Sunday: Simpsons, Family Guy (Maybe), Cleveland Show (Maybe), American Dad (Maybe)

Not as packed this year as other years, but who knows how it will progress.

Monday: House, Monday Night Football, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory. I will typically flip around during commercials between the shows and MNF.

Tuesday: NCIS, NCIS: Los Angelas and I will flip back and forth to Hell's Kitchen. I don't think its as good this year so I don't mind missing alot of it.

Wednesday: Modern Family could be a possibility, I typically don't watch much until 10:00 pm and then watch The Ultimate Fighter on Spike.

Thursday: Bones (most of the time), Fringe (Love this show) and I might check out Flashback. I heard good things.

Friday: I honestly don't know, Numbers when it comes back on.

Saturday: Nothing much.

Sunday: Simpsons, Family Guy, Cleveland Show (not sold on this yet), American Dad and the late football game.

The only show I watch anymore is Sons of Anarchy and Burn Notice.

Lost blows. Drive was prematurely canceled. Firefly was canceled. Jericho was canceled. Sarah Conner Chronicles was canceled.

I was watching The Dollhouse and loving it, but I missed almost the entire first season for training. Having a hard time getting back into it via Hulu. I'll get the season though. Gotta support Joss Whedon.

Yeah, I love Burn Notice. I have the first Season on DVD.
I also liked that show Kings, was really pissed that they cancelled that.
I've tried to get into Son's of Anarchy, I keep meaning to watch the first season on hulu but never get around to it.

I did watch the first episode of Flash Forward, and I think that one might be good as well.

I agree a lot with you Mav.

Mondays are House, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother (my new favorite show) and Big Bang Theory (i like to pause and look at the whiteboards to see if i can name the equation). Though they changed HIMYM to earlier and i cant DVR House, Heroes and HIMYM :( so gotta figure out what to do.

Tues: Nothing on this new lineup

Wed: Top Chef (sometimes)

Thurs: Fringe

Friday: Eureka (just ended, i hope repeats continue)

Sat: FOOTBALL!

Sunday: Maybe NFL, but Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad. The Cleveland show was HORRIBLE. Won't be watching it again.

Not too much for me now! Maybe some new shows will pop up. Apparently i need to watch a lot of things (like Lost) and get caught up.

Maybe ill catch that Flashback show, looks ok... someone will have to tell me how it is.

I usually buy stuff on DVD/Blu-ray (e.g. House) so I can watch it when it suits me rather than when the TV broadcasts it.

Jesus there is some hard core TV viewing hours in some of that list. I'm hopeless at self-organisation and particular bad at being at some point the same time each week...so watching TV shows just doesn't really work well for me. I tend to wait for an entire season to be aired and then just watch the whole lot. I am looking for some stuff to watch so will check out some of the shows listed here...tanks

24, LOST and Fringe being the main three. Been following True Blood recently though, and am looking forwards to Stargate Universe

I am kinda waiting to see season two of Legend of the Seeker. Watched the fist season because I read the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. Would have probably liked it a lot more if I hadn't read the books fist. Kind of wondering what they are going to do with season two. Waiting to see if they will try to some what follow the next book or go off in a different direction.
