This is a link to Tork's facebook http://www.facebook.com/#/profile.php?i ... 0177855233, I'm not sure what type of security he had on it, and this is Lisa, Tork's wifes facebook link http://www.facebook.com/#/llinkerhof, Lisa has said she is more then happy for anyone here to contact her.

These are Lisa's replies to me when I enquired about Tork.

Thank you for msging me. He loved playing that game and many of the people in it he talked very fondly of. He was born with cystic fibrosis, and had a double lung and liver transplant. His lungs rejected so he got another transplant and about 6 months ago he went into severe rejection again. But this time his kidneys also failed. He had been spending a lot of time in the hospital, and prayed about it and made the decision to have the vent tube pulled. He was the strongest person I have ever met. I was unable to log into evernight after he passed to tell all of you of his passing. So i am sorry. But thank you again. Have a happy new year! Lisa

Thank you very much for telling me Lisa, I'd known Russ for about 12 odd years from playing the game, unfortunately due to life I'd dropped out of contact with him but when ever I got the time to play again he was always there and his same old self, this has come as a huge shock I never knew that about him, he never said in the entire time... He was a great person and I'll miss him deeply, he had the best sense of humour, but I know the kind of person he was and he will be looking over you and your family. Rollo.

Thank you. He always tried to keep his life private. That was the kind of person he was. I think that playing the game was sometimes a good escape for him. He really enjoyed it. Would you mind passing along the news to some of the other players of the game? They can feel free to contact me too if they like. It was nice meeting you. (so to speak). He really did have a great sense of humor though. Through everything he never lost that. Lisa

Thanks Lisa, I have left a message on the new Monarchy website... Unfortunately I don't know how many people are even playing these days or who. But hopefully the word will spread to those that know and cared for him.

I still have no words. Thank you for confirming. I didn't even want to think about it until that happened. I'll miss him greatly.

This is colder than winter now...

Screw being sad though, I'll be up'ing my cheer-spreading for him; maybe one day get as good as he was.

I dont know what to say.

Over the years there have been several players that passed on.

Tork is the first that I've fought alongside.

I have posted a thread with the sad news as an announcement on Tempers Ball, and promoted this thread to an announcement.

I haven't played in years, but I was forwarded this news and wanted to stop in and wish the family well. I really don't know what to say, but I'm deeply saddened by this news and will try to pass this news on to as many people I can that I have contacts for... :(

I will always remember meeting him way back when in the old TGH warchat... TNE had stolen it from us and I was in college the first year so I spent a bit of time there.

The banter was always good, I'm looking on these memories and I cannot help but smile. I'm energized by this in that I'm more inspired than normal of late.

Here's to being quicker to laughter!

Thanks Tork!

I understand him and Sart a bit more now...

For those that did not know, Torkano had been part of the Evernight staff team for some time, having joined up in the last major recruitment drive and signing up for Comments and Events.

He had not come over and joined the staff here, but I am sure he'd have done a good a job here.

RIP Torkano

Damn, counting Sart he's the second person i played with and against and talked to a bit. It sucks when anyone dies but for me this is just like Sartorious, it just happened and i never knew he was sick.

I can't believe this... Torkie-poo? I'm so stunned right now I can't even think of anything to say aside from this fucking sucks. He was always such a sweet guy... it's amazing that often the people who have had the hardest lot are the softest souls.

I know I'm not around aside from the occasional pop in, but I still do often think of the folks I've met though Monarchy/Canon and (despite the fact I'm a horrible person for not staying in touch) I do count myself blessed to have met so many incredible people through the game. Tork was one of the folks I always knew would dive right in and enjoy the shenanigans, he was a kind, sweet, fun guy and I'll always remember him for the smile seeing his name in a thread would bring me.
