Log out for bonus turns

Post by Pistol » Sun Feb 24, 2013 9:47 am

Can I just say the location of the log out for bonus turns in Domination is a joke. Why on earth would a new member go to options then leave npp? Back in the day the log out was easy to find now if you dont know it exists you wont find it and its not fair.

huh. I see what you mean now.
Maybe "logout" should be it's own thing under Options.
We'll let the game coder people know :geek:
Or maybe we don't get bonus turns while still being protected? ... to be continued.

That layout was designed originally for the Massacre style game, and then re-purposed to be used in other games when players started asking for an option that was a 'classic' style age-based #turns an hour game. When we started here there were no plans for games other than Massacre style.

As it's a zero-turns an hour game type, Log-out was disabled in Massacre, and the screen was re-purposed for 'Leave NPP' and 'Suicide'. Basically, 'Log-Out', 'Leave NPP' and 'Suicide' are all the same screen. As it was a disabled screen, there was no need to include a link to it on the layout. Just like there was no link in the layout to go to Guilds, Quads etc.

At this point I'm not going to change anything with that particular layout because it's being retired anyway. There are two routes to get to the logout screen if you really feel you need to use it, and the layout is being replaced in all other games with the new one next age anyway.
