A noob question

Post by Sikil » Sun Jul 03, 2011 6:35 am

Just starting to play this game and wondering what the "(N)" means on the scrolls in Domination. My apologies if this has already been answered, couldn't find it.

Sikil,

Welcome to the game.

On the scrolls screen there are three different indicators you might see (including the N).

Kingdoms in italics, are currently in New Player Protection.
Kingdoms with the (D) flag are dead

and to answer your question

NPC kingdoms are flagged with an (N).

NPC kingdoms are in the game to provide additional targets, they were introduced specifically to get around certain downsides to playing Massacre when nobody else in online, so are often vastly stronger than one might expect for a domination kingdom.

Every 10 mins or so, each NPC has a random chance of having Ambush, Fog, Summoned Troops and Sorc Sheilds reset, and dead NPC's have a chance of being reborn into the game. NPC's will rarely stay dead for more than an hour or two.

They have been added into domination to give some targets for quads to fight, while the playerbase is low, rather than fighting the same people over and over..

So--basically you can attack them w/o fear of retribution attacks.
