I am in charge of moving 8-12 employees from our locally hosted Exchange server to Google Apps. It makes more sense and will be free to us (non-profit). I can go into more detail if needed, but my main concern is Blackberry support. We do currently have our own BES running with 3 or 4 employees connected to it. When we move to Google Apps I have two options, well, technically 3 I suppose.
1. Say F it and don't worry about the benefits of the BES. I can install the gmail app on their phones which will just fetch the mail and install Google Sync which will sync contacts and calendars.
2. Try to install the Google Apps connector for BES and get it set up myself. I have no experience using or managing the BES.
3. Pay for external hosting of a BES with connector at www.exchangemymail.com.
Any thoughts or opinions? Hopefully someone here has dealt with BES and Google Apps and can really save my ass!
