I recall once a butterfly and a slithering snake. The butterfly, she was beautiful and all goggled at her visage. The snake, no one saw; he slithered thoughtfully beneath the tall grass. By happenstance they met one day and shared the tale of their lives. It appears they each craved the other's life. The snake wanted to be envied and beautiful, an icon for the world to see. The butterfly wanted what she once had known, a happier life of solitude and inner thought, out of the sight of the world.
The story goes on how they exchanged wings for fangs and attempted to live in the other's world; but it is a tragic tale merely encompassing the old rule, the grass only seems greener on the other side. You typically find yourself where you are because you are well suited to be there.

Aero rises from the chair by the hearth. He finishes his mug of ale and flips a coin to the barmaid. These short reprieves from politics and warfare are a vacation and to be enjoyed when able. With a brief nod to the other patrons, he exits back to the war-torn world outside.

Some demz gobbiez gathered close, thrice-deep around a pit of low-burning embers and gnawed on their dinner together, listening to the place above as they ate and passed around a rather large bone-carved pipe.

Do weez dance? A few demz gobbiez chuckled and spit and slobbered and started stompin around the tunnel "dancing" until Mauhura had to stand on a shelf in the rock and lean out to smack de biggest laughing-gyrating troll right in de mouf wit'a slobber-snot-and-ale-covered leg o' w'ampyre. SMAAACK! Shaddup stoopid! Yer too haaacckkkcough fookin loud! Joooz wunt all demz heedenz down here fookin around? Noooo. Dummeeez.

Giving a slightly deeper-than-normal inhale through her nose to catch the scent of the stuff Leif was smoking, she shook her head to clear it and used two fingers to grab her own blouse at the shoulder seam, looking at Leif with an-almost-smirk.

So is this what happens around here with a certain cleaning service? (there was a small but audible "hmfff" and mumble about "suing" remembering another life)

....know any one we could use for cleaning? oh and also...(pulls out a prelim-copy of the newspaper from the other bag putting it on the counter before Leif) check it out..

Joe, that reminds me that I'm still waiting for a response from you regarding the copyright status of that image. It's one thing `linking` to an image hosted in it's original location (via [ url ] or even [ img ] bbcode), but re-uploading to a 'gallery' without permission is whole another matter.
