Deep Cut - Versions [Free Album Download]

Over the last couple of years a band with a load of my friends in, has been doing a selection of remixes of songs for other bands to put on their singles etc.

After completing talks with record labels and bands, they have just released a compilation album of the remixes, which is currently available as a free download from Band Camp. You guys should check it out, some of the remixes are arguably better than the song being remixed

They work slightly different to other artists when doing a remix. Rather than sampling everything and putting it all back together in a new format, they take a few samples and a theme from the song, and then rewrite it as if it was their song. The guitar, bass and drums are all played by Deep Cut, rather than just samples.

They've returned to the studio to put together the third Deep Cut album (fourth if you count 'versions' as an album), and have told me that the new stuff will be more like the remixes.
