This will sound strange, but please do not send Nether a care package at Basic. He will pay dearly for any food or other comfort items he receives. In fact, it may even affect his entire unit...oh and any goods you send will be confiscated by the drill sergeants as contraband. That said, Letters are perfectly fine as are tasteful pictures.

Nymph I knooow maaaan =) that's why I said what I said about no mail in basic. I thought once he's been assigned & given mail access theeeennnnn me send stuff. =) thanks for pointing it out for some who might not think about it.
I did have a minor incident in college sending somethin to Uber the first time out (came back with a letter about what NOT to send, which was pretty much every thing I sent lol, magazines, homemade bakery, jerky, hit up the dorms for STUFF ... we did get to send most of it back, just in small doses hahaha) - damn there's a solider I wish would come back to play!! UBERMAGUS!! Where areee yooouuu!

Congrats on completing basic. I hope you enjoyed it...and if you didn't AIT offers a lot more freedom in time. If they do phase badges do whatever it takes to get yours up from 4 to 5 plus and go out and explore the surrounding area.

Honestly, start making a plan on your career with military. Even if it is only to become a part time job.
