God it has been so long since I had a nice long rant about some relationship/quasi-relationship problem in a place like this. I remember the allure of getting advice, talking things out, making determinations about people. I remember bashing a friend of mine who was such a d-bag for dating this 17 year old. Yeah, that actually went super well and they were happy (parents got involved positively). I remember fighting with friends over women. I remember having Portia talk to me and I was all like, "Holy shit, she is a hot ass red head! Score."

I also remember the political rants. Wow did they shape me into ... well most likely a libertarian.

I could go on, but I won't. I just like to say that I love message boards. I love alternate identities and I loved Monarchy/Evernight. I always will.

Glad to see it still kicking.

PS - Portia may be married, but she is still hot. Just saying.

This thread looks as good as any to decide to write in, and I mean come on, at this point in time its pretty much an honor if I write in your thread .

So yeah, girls, what can I say. Right now Im pretty insane about one, I cant focus on anything, well except for how am I going to somehow trick her into spending more time with me. I am not the type of guy who goes crazy for girls either, and Ive known this one for almost 6 months, but in the last few weeks I started to get more into her. And then on Thursday it just went into overdrive when she recognized this awesome Dr. Who/Salvidor Dali shirt I was wearing. After we went out with friends I walked her home (it was an hour walk from the wrong side of town) and basically she thinks exactly like me, its ridiculous absolutely insane. The stranger part is that several people over the last few weeks (including a girl that met us for the first time) have all said that we would be good together.

Of course she has some stupid British boyfriend who is living in NY or something lame. The problem is that Im extremely hilarious when Im in a mood like this. But I guess that just goes to show that when im meh about something I dont care, but when I want something Ill actually go out of my way to get it.

So she might not know it yet, but one day she will be mine. Or shell end up sad and disappointed when she is with a guy thats not even half as awesome as me. And Im usually not the type of guy to go for someone who has a boyfriend (and even worse shes the type of girl who wouldnt be into that seeing as thats one of the reasons I like her), but exceptions have to be made, so I apologize to the British guy in advance.

And that is a good way to think about it. Although as someone who was once the victim of a broken heart, I do feel a certain sympathy for other guys, and quite frankly I had hoped that I would never be that type of person.

But after running the numbers, the odds are just to remote that if I pass, I would find someone else like her. Its going to be a rough summer.

Mav, I am right there with you. I met this girl at work. She and I clicked instantly. I used the term soulmate. It got pretty close and then she mentioned this asshat boyfriend she had. She left one weekend planning to leave him and instead got engaged. Then the engagement fell apart. She wanted to leave all along, but couldn't do it.

Then one day she came clean with me, after we had fooled around a bit, and she said she was going to work it out with him. She put it quite bluntly, "Whenever I am around you, I want to fuck your brains out. If you stand near me, I want you. I am attracted to everything about you and we would be awesome together."

She then proceeded to tell me how it wasn't happening and how she was going to stay in this ugly situation. Wedding is set for April of next year. I doubt it will go through, but hey, stranger things have happened. Never met anyone as hot and awesome as her and never have I been in a situation where both parties want to fuck like rabbits but can't because one of them is in a situation they have personally stated on numerous occassions is "a mistake".

I feel for you brother. I really hope yours figures it out. It will be a long summer indeed.

So first Ill start with Reylan and then we will get to me (the important stuff )

Reylan you are like a magnet for train wrecks. I dont know how else to better say that, but I feel like I have been reading about you and girls for 10 years and pretty much every time its something crazy. I hope you have been keeping a dream journal because this is the type of stuff Hollywood movies are made of.

That being said, if you really want her, you should start moving pieces so that eventually it happens. Obviously the last option has to be going to her wedding and doing something out of a Romantic Comedy. I mean tv has taught me that works, and who am I to question what I see on tv? Nobody that is who.

So be a dynamo and show that lady why Reylan doesnt lose to asshats.

As for me, maybe Ill see her tomorrow. If I put some effort into it I could probably guarantee it, but that type of move is way to overt for me. Everyone knows Im much more subtle than that. So Im thinking a good test is going to be if she will show up anyways. But if she doesnt show up then Im going to be sad and will probably have to make moves to ensure that I will see her soon. '

For now all I can do is replay all the times Ive previously seen her and go back and forth on whether something she did was an indication that she liked me. Then I replay my reaction and laugh about how oblivious I can be if I really am not focused on something.
