I'd settle for Lard, or perhaps The Exploited.

I never understood what's supposed to be good about Cannibal Corpse. I prefer Bloodbath. And Boobies.

This is why every town or city needs a Chinese quarter. They also have all the best instant noodles. Love those proper chinese supermarkets.

The deep gravelly voices and hardcore metal are what I like about Cannibal Corpse.

All their songs are sort of the same though. They're like the death metal version of Motörhead.

I have NOT found is a good chinese place
I had two Chinese students who worked in my lab at UNR. When I asked them where the best Chinese restaurants were in town, they laughed and said "San Francisco". But they did take me to Twin Dragons on Virginia and Moana, they said it was as good as I was going to get in Reno.
If you like Thai food, Bangkok Cuisine on the corner of Mount Rose and Virginia is consistently good, but the service is consistently slow. Green Papaya is also pretty good.

Bangkok is good food, but the service is lousy and the host was not particularly welcoming.
Nagash, are you certain that you are not talking about GWAR? I feel the same about them, and now they have gone all preachy political. I hate that.

Bangkok Cuisine has been that way since I've known them. If it wasn't for the food, they wouldn't be in business. If another good Thai restaurant opened up with good service and good atmosphere (Green Papaya is a little too fast food like in atmosphere), Bangkok would go out of business in my opinion.

GWAR used to be camp. Now it's just tasteless. Another icon gone to waste.....

In the end I listened to some Misfits while I dl'd Clutch - Transnational Speedway Leaue.
There's a place Scott and I used to really like, whose name I cannot recall (but I think it had "sun" in the name) and it is on the southeast corner of Moana and Plumas. Kitty-corner from a 7-11. Across the street from it is a Bavarian bakery that makes the best desserts/cookies I have ever had too.

Well, I'm living in Wisconsin these days. Smack-dab between Madison and Milwaukee. I work in Madison, and LOVE my job. Fantastic boss and stellar company. I totally lucked out.
Interestingly, I'll be in Reno for a roofing convention next April. It's a bit of a wait, but I can probably sneak away for a bit to get booze with ya.

Oh. The Peppermill is about 5 miles from my home. Just be aware it IS in a really rough neighborhood. Do NOT go wandering at night. It is in gang territory.

Or bring a gun. According to some, that helps.

I'm stuck in the middle of spacious farmland and simple Amish.
Lancaster, PA is an insane tourist attraction but I have yet to figure out the appeal. We should have a bash out here and party in the cornfields. (Although the city has some good bars

)

The only way I'm going to a bash there, Lare, is if someone promises to bring the battery powered string of christmas lights for when I start to wander. Class is about to start here at Ohio State so I doubt I'll make it to Reno anytime soon, but PA I could probably swing.

Near where I live, there is this place called the North Dining facility. It serves some wonderful food every day, and when I go there I know what to expect. Ahhh... chicken, steak, shrimp or fruit and salad... Otherwise you gotta eat burgers or hot dogs and a shit ton of fried food... umm... and its always teh same... but then again. Its either that or (M)eals (R)efused by (E)thiopians. I love army cuisine. Its so practical... and bland.
