General Geography
I have a question, and the possible answers are holding me back on doing any posting until it's answered...
What type of geographical locale are we talking about here?
Is there a main city type of area? Or are factions seperated into thier own hubs?
Will wait for the rest of the questions...for now!

Re: General Geography
As far as the 'Mortal King' era goes the three factions are mortal. Angelique rules a region with her iron fist, Barnabas in a noble of 'The Empire' and Leto is a kind of underworld figure. We had come up with a few cities for Angelqies region and Barnabas' and a few smaller independant towns loyal to Leto, but to be honest I dont think they were used in much - if any - roleplay. I can go and grab them if you want, but it might be just easier to make up places as required.
As far as the old 'landmarks' from the past. I personally think of Mo-Pri and Maxim as the same region, just identified differently under their respective gods. The war between the old and new gods resulted in the destruction of the guildlands, valid and maxim, although I seem to recall someone - maybe Seska? - did a roleplay when they returned to post 'appocolypse' Maxim.
I intend to create an interface that interacts with these roleplay boards from the Monarchy website itself. This will help me transport the roleplay to the Facebook application. I intend to make it easy to link to character bio's and landmarks, places etc. Will probably make a couple of additional subforums in the OOC area to cover this.

Yanno, I just cant let you have ALL the fun, Kaz!!
I'm staking claim to something that was developed at the other site. and dragging it *no doubt kicking and screaming* over here.
There's a city up high on a plateau that overlooks the sea, and it's got a bustling harbor, filled with all sorts of characters, both good and bad, noble and shady and all the shades of grey in between.
For anyone else who is somewhat like me and occasionally needs a visual cue, think "Booty Bay" in WoW. minus most of the goblins and not so brightly-hued for the port/harbor.
The city, for now at least and possibly forever, remains neutral. Appearance-wise, it resembles Utgarde Keep in Howling Fjord, Nothrend, with it's hewn stone and some iron architecture.
Mind you, now I gotta think of a name for the City *not Tempest, never again unless the gang returns to give the thumbs-up* and I'm hoping that we can get something up and running and roleplaying with a lot of folks interacting, not just the same old people doing the same old characters in the same old scenarios.
Anyone with ideas and/or suggestions, or if the Admins think I'm way, way out of line, drop me a PM.

Re: General Geography
That's cool hun, I posted this at the end of my recent post in the Dark Lady thread.Desdemona wrote:Anyone with ideas and/or suggestions, or if the Admins think I'm way, way out of line, drop me a PM.
Although, a lot of the point of this particular forum is to develop how the underlaying roleplay story will evolve. I had a seperate OOC forum that I hosted myself back during the long and never finished 'Search for the Arian' roleplay. It was quite useful to have a place for cast to plot certain key points.Kaz wrote:I have previously been quite good at directing a roleplay, but to be perfectly honest I have not done so for ages, and I need to get into it again. Hopefully, at least initially, some of you will step up to 'direct' things.
I might hide this forum and allow people to add themselves to an open group to see it, but there is no real point yet.

Re: General Geography
In a last ditch effort to get roleplay back and moving several cities were made a the old site, but never used as Kaz mentioned, who would have thought coming up with a city would be so hard

Hmm... Nagash, Porkie and I spent some time detailing the OAFS homelands in Barnabas' territories... it never made its way out of our guild forum, though. I'll try and find it again.
