I just updated the game portal page where your active kingdoms are listed.

You can now tell if you have news or messages without logging in.

Please be advised that the portal is updated with knowledge about news and messages every 5 minutes when the scroll scripts run. This means that the portal when you get attacked (or receive a message), the portal will continue to tell you No News (or No Message) until the script tells it otherwise.
Programming is 10% science, 25% ingenuity and 65% getting the ingenuity to work with the science

I did a bit of investigating, and it looks like that player logged in over the course of a few days, didn't do much in the way of spending turns, and then deleted his kingdom. As he did the same thing back in 2012 I sent him an email to try and get some feedback from him. He evidentially 'wanted' to like the game, based on the fact that he returned several times, so I'm interested to know when finally drove him to delete his kingdom.

For future reference, if someone deletes, they will now be removed from the guild. Unless they are the GM (of record), in which case they wont be able to delete (even if they are dead).

I have added a landing page which will be seen immediately after logging in to your kingdom.

The purpose of this page is for the next phase of development, but I thought it worth adding some very basic functionality now.

Currently this page includes the 'Staff News', which has been removed from the general layout on every other page. The landing page also includes your Kingdom news (no more scrolling through the Kingdom page after logging in), and will shortly include a few customisable nav links to take you to other screens.

Fixed a bug that allowed kingdoms to provide allied assistance during the Restore Protection Period.

Fix involves resetting assistance to None/None during the restore process, and removing the ability to edit assistance levels during RPP.

As a side effect of removing the ability to change assistance levels, any kingdom currently in RPP and currently providing protection to an ally (offensive or defensive) will be unable to change this and will continue to provide assistance until the current period of RPP is up.

However, any restore made after this point will be unable to assist allies.

Fallen Friends days will no longer take the war functions offline.

A message will be still displayed to commemorate our fallen warriors (including the link to their thread in the Memoriam forum). But instead of the war functions going offline for the day, every kingdom will receive +1 build-rate bonus for the duration of remembrance.

For now, the game will still go offline for the traditional holidays.
