Monarchy/SMR get together in May

I'm planning a trip to the UK in May, and already planning a get together with players from another former shareplay game, Space Merchant Realms, in London. I'd like to invite anyone from Monarchy who is interested to join us. I'm planning on having the get together on May 17 (Friday) or May 18 (Sat...

Hero

Too often we revere athletes/celebrities as heroes. I wanted to share this, because this person defines what I deem a hero. I checked the story out online, it appears to be legit.

Re: On turning 50 and traveling

I will NEVER drive in Paris again. Seriously, I'd rather claw out both of my eyeballs than drive through Paris.

I do have a bunch of photos, I bought a fancy camera for the trip :)

Re: On turning 50 and traveling

I returned, relatively safe and sound. I'll never drive in Paris again, EVER. In fact, most of the areas of France left me pretty unimpressed until we reached Mount Blanc, which was beautiful and impressive. Switzerland was awesome. I'd return to Switzerland in a heartbeat, even though it is an expe...

On turning 50 and traveling

I turned 50 this past January, and with the idea that I was now a half century old came the realization that if I didn't travel to see the places I had dreamed of visiting, I would be too old to enjoy them. Next month, I will be traveling to Switzerland to hike the Swiss alps, see Reichenbach Falls,...

Re: HAPPY GETTING OLDER DAY NETHER

I don't mind birthdays.

I turned a half a century old in January. I honestly think that is rather cool. Though it also indicates to me that I have a lot of living yet to do, and better do it now before I'm too old to enjoy it.

Re: People i want to summon back to Canon/Monarchy

This isn't some copy created by old players (unlike another game I wont mention), this is the next official incarnation created from the same code by the remaining Administrators who decided to keep 'something' alive, even when death might have been a blessing to them. As someone who played both Sp...

Murder Mystery contest

I sponsor the Forensic Science Club at my college. We created a murder mystery contest to earn money for the club and for a local charity (Scotty's House, which helps abused and neglected children). The website is http://www.dolomedes.com . So if anyone wants to help out, take a look and spread the ...

Re: Who would have thought?

I was the player formerly known as Holti.

Jouldax doesn't remember what name he played under 11 years ago, but he said he used to dominate the game. He was a kid back then, he's only 27 now.

Re: Mag 8.9 Earthquake in Japan.

No country prepares for earthquakes more than Japan (they get hit with a lot of them), but nothing could have prepared them for an earthquake this size.

Since I started videotaping bands, my playlists have become a lot more eclectic.
The first two bands you have not heard, because they are local to me. But I love their music.

Oil Boom

Re: doctors

I agree with the above posts. Humans can manufacture Vitamin D in their bodies as long as they are exposed to sunlight. Deficiencies are linked with bone demineralization (rickets is caused by vitamin D deficiency) and weaker immune system. Vitamin D is also a fat soluble vitamin, like A, E and K. S...

Re: Possible Job - Need Opinions

My views on prostitution is that it should be legal. Girls undergo health checks, good legal brothels take care of their girls, much much better than the illegal alternative. That said, from what I heard while living in Reno, not all legal brothels take good care of their girls. It sounds like you w...

Re: Thoughts on Seattle & far moves

I grew up in rural Michigan, went to school in AZ, when to grad school in Maryland, and finished my PhD in Nevada. Moved to Oregon for a temp job, now in Texas for a permanent job. I'm well seasoned in long moves. I've never regretted the moves, and I have a job I love because of all of those moves....
